The 2024 Jamba Nyinayi Festival will see the new inclusion of very limited one and two night, on-station camping and cultural experience packages – for those seeking authentic, intimate, and inspirational cultural experiences.

2 NIGHT CAMPING PACKAGES

The two-night camping and cultural experience packages come in two categories: Happy Camper and Do It Yourself (DIY) Camping.

These very limited camping and cultural experience packages will be located around the old Cardabia shearer’s quarters (the Old Quarters), and will give two night campers exclusive access to the Old Quarters with toilets, showers, coffee and food trucks, plus access to the Campfire Sessions– intimate music and entertainment performances, the Shearers’ Quarters Bar presented by Whalebone Brewery and exclusive Cultural Workshops.

Happy Campers will also have a selection of traditional meals included within the package. A traditional firepit cook up and breakfasts menu that have been created by the Baiyungu cultural elders and will be delivered by the Festival kitchen team with support from Indigenous cooks and volunteers. Bush tucker ingredients and local produce will be used where possible. Check out the menu, which may be subject to slight change pending availability of specific ingredients.

Access to these intimate cultural dining, campfire performances, and workshop experiences are ONLY AVAILABLE for those who purchase two night, on station camping packages.

HAPPY CAMPER

Happy Campers rejoice – we’ve taken care of everything for you! The Happy Camper package is for those looking to arrive at Cardabia Station and settle straight into the festival vibes without the hassle of setting up camp. Happy Campers can enjoy a refreshing beverage from the Shearers’ Quarters Bar presented by Whalebone Brewery before feasting on a traditional Baiyungu firepit cook up and breakfasts delivered by the Festival kitchen team with support from Indigenous cooks and volunteers.

Festival eve will see the Campfire Sessions kick off with intimate music, dance, language & other cultural performances.

Happy Campers can access multiple Cultural Workshops on the morning of Friday, 12 April. These workshops are free for Happy Campers, but spaces are limited and must be booked prior.

Strolling from the Old Quarters to the JNF Festival Main Stage, located on the Salt Flats, Happy Campers will have full access to all the action of Jamba Nyinayi Festival on Friday, 12 April.

Please note: Happy Camper sites are unpowered, however there is a solar lantern provided in each tent, ambient lighting in the area, and access to phone charging stations. Due to the remote nature of the event and the cooking styles being used, varied dietary and allergy requirements can not be accommodated outside of the existing menu. Vegetarian options are available.

DIY CAMPER

Got your own camping set up, camper van, motor home, or caravan – the Do It Yourself two-night package is for you!

DIY campers can experience station camping their way while still enjoying access to the Old Quarters including showers and toilets, the Shearers’ Quarters Bar presented by Whalebone Brewery, coffee and food stalls, and the Festive eve Campfire Sessions with intimate music, dance, language and other cultural performances.

DIY Campers have access to multiple Cultural Workshops on the morning of Friday, 12 April. These workshops are free for DIY campers, but spaces are limited and must be booked prior.

– Sites are all 11.5m x 10.5m – which allows for large caravans to park with car next to the side of the van.

Note: If you have an extra large caravan or RV motor home that wont fit in the site dimensions provided – please email hello@jnfestival.com.au to enquire about the oversize site options.Generators are permitted with the DIY areas, however please ensure they are as quiet as possible, and there will be a 10pm curfew for generators to be turned off).

OVERNIGHTER

Travelling to Cardabia Station for the Festival and keen to overnight it? Jamba Nyinayi Festival is now offering one-night, unpowered sites for visitors attending the Festival on Friday 12 April. Just book in, pull up, and camp at your leisure for the night. Overnighters will have access to a food and coffee vendor in the morning after the festival.
Includes your Festival ticket.
