What is JNF?
Jamba Nyinayi Festival (JNF) is a unique, local, indigenous arts and cultural showcase owned by the Baiyungu Aboriginal Corporations and spearheaded by Traditional Owner Hazel Walgar. Jamba Nyinayi is hosted and held on Baiyungu Country.

When is JNF?
Jamba Nyinayi Festival will be held during the Easter long weekend with the festival running from Friday 18th April – Sunday 20th April, 2025. Options to stay on the station for a minimum of 3 nights or stay longer with us for up to 5 nights from Thursday 17th April – Tuesday 22nd April.
Where is JNF held?
Cardabia Station is a coastal homestead about 1000km north-northwest of Perth, on Baiyungu country. The station is located on Coral Bay Rd Lyndon WA 6701. Road signage will be in place as you turn on to Coral Bay Road.

Do I need to purchase tickets to the festival on Friday 18 April – Sunday 20 April?
We thank and appreciate our supporters for allowing us to offer free festival tickets in the first two years of JNF. As we extend the program and improve site facilities and ticket inclusions, festival tickets will be priced and required for your entry.
Just coming to camp, will I need to purchase a festival ticket?
Yes, all attendees will be required to purchase a festival ticket with their camping ticket, this will give them access to all festival and camping facilities.

What is the size of the Happy Camper sites?
Happy Camper sites are 7m x 7m and will have a 4man tent set up and ready to go for you. This includes beds and bedding.
What is the size of the DIY sites?
11.5m x 10.5m – which allows for large caravans to park with car next to the side of the van.
I have an XL RV or motor home, are there XL sites available?
If you have an extra large caravan or RV motor home that wont fit in the site dimensions provided – please email hello@jnfestival.com.au to enquire about the oversize site options.
What time is check in for camping?
For those that have purchased camping packages check in is from 12NOON and check out is by 12NOON.
What time does the festival programming start?
Day parking opens from 3pm on Friday 18 April, with the program scheduled from 5pm. Details on the full program to be announced.

Will there be a map and program schedule I can access prior to the festival?
Yes, the map and program schedule will be available to access from the website once announced. We suggest printing or downloading these to your phone prior to your arrival.
Is food and drinks available?
This year the JNF main festival area including the Shearing Shed and Verandah Stage will be licensed. Food and coffee vans will be available to purchase from. Your own food and non-alcoholic beverages are permitted in this area, we do however, encourage you to support the local businesses bringing you great food and coffee daily.
There will be a bar, with alcohol to only be consumed within the licensed boundaries.
Is the Festival BYO?
Jamba Nyinayi Festival is a family friendly, cultural arts and community festival. This year, the festival has expanded its licensed area so you can share a social drink with family and friends while watching performances.
Due to liquor licensing laws, JNF will not be trading on Good Friday and no alcohol will be permitted within the licensed area on this day. We do ask that if you choose to BYO to consume within your camp area, that you drink responsibly and respect the family friendly and cultural nature of the event.
Any anti-social behaviour will not be tolerated out of respect for the festival hosts, workers, patrons and performers. Please contact festival staff, security, police or first aid if an attendee is not co-operating with this policy.
I want to camp but only have one adult – what are my options?
All camping sites are for a minimum of 2 adults. 2 adult tickets will need to be booked to secure a site.
Are pets allowed?
Unfortunately no pets allowed.
What amenities are available at Cardabia Station when we are camping?
Happy Campers and those camping in the Shearers Quarters Precinct will have access to showers, toilets and within close proximity to the Festival Area including the bar, stalls, food and coffee trucks.
Old Airstrip Campers will be within a short walking distance to the Festival Area including the bar, stalls, food and coffee trucks. Old Airstrip Campers are suited to those who are more self-contained, but will however, have access to the festival toilets during licensed hours.
What can I find in Coral Bay?
Open 7 days a week, the Coral Bay Shopping Arcade includes:
- Coral Bay Supermarket where you can purchase a range of fresh meats, salads and vegetables, along with shelf staples, fishing & beach supplies, ice, as well as refill your gas bottles
- Coral Bay Bakery is well known for baking quality breads, pies, pastries, sandwiches, cakes – and that famous vanilla slice!
- Coral Bay News & Gifts is the place to buy the daily paper, magazines, cards, as well as send & receive mail
- Reef Dive offers a range of dive and other tours
- Indiblu spa for hair & beauty treatments
- Other tour & specialty stores
- Coral Bay Nursing Post
You can fill up on petrol at the 24/7 Fuel Swipe Card Facility. Major credit cards are accepted and both unleaded and diesel fuel is available.
Where can I stay if I’m not camping at Cardabia Station?
Visit here for general accommodation options in Coral Bay. If you are planning to join us from surrounding areas, we recommend that you do not drive long distances late at night. Please plan your travel with safety in mind.

JNF Festival is a smoke free venue – designated smoking area provided.
Will there be a shuttle bus from Coral Bay to the festival and back? What times will the shuttle bus run?
Yes, shuttle buses will be available to and from Coral Bay in festival operating hours from Friday to Sunday (5:00pm – 11:00pm).
Can we bring camera and take pictures and video the performances?
The video and photography policy is still being confirmed.
Can I bring a generator?
Happy Camper sites are unpowered, however there is a solar lantern provided in each tent, ambient lighting in the area, and access to phone charging stations. Generators are NOT permitted in Happy Campers area.
Generators are permitted within the Shearers Quarters Precinct and Old Airstrip camping area, however please ensure they are as quiet as possible, and there will be a 10pm curfew for generators to be turned off.
